At KIN, we're committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use KIN (the "App") on iOS or through our web browser.

By using KIN, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don't agree with our practices, please don't use the App.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide KIN's core features and improve your experience:

• Email Address: Collected during sign-in for account management and optional communication.
• Gameplay Data: Your puzzle history, streak information, and guess patterns to track your progress and provide daily puzzles.
• Subscription Status: Whether you have an active KIN+ subscription, managed by Apple's in-app purchase system.
• Device Information: Anonymized device type and operating system version to optimize the app experience.
• Push Notification Token: Only if you opt into push notifications for daily puzzle reminders.

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used only for these purposes:

• Delivering your daily KIN puzzle and tracking your streaks
• Processing subscription payments and managing your KIN+ access
• Sending push notifications (only if you've opted in)
• Analytics to understand feature usage and improve the app
• Customer support and account security

We do not sell your data, use advertising networks, or enable third-party ad tracking.

Third-Party Services

KIN relies on trusted third parties to function. Here's how we use them:

Data Retention

We keep your account data as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we securely delete your personal information within 30 days. Some anonymized gameplay data may be retained for analytics purposes, but it cannot be connected to your identity.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you have certain rights regarding your data:

• Right to Access: You can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Right to Delete: You can request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Right to Opt-Out: You can disable analytics and push notifications in the app settings.

• CCPA (California): If you're in California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no system is perfectly secure. If you're concerned about the security of your account, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
